  2. Because I was never in to a foreign country I imagined an utopian journey in England with some friends. So, I visited London, a city and capital which really impressed me. It’s a huge city which can’t be visited entirely even you stay there a month. The excitement moment was when I slept in a station because one of my friends couldn’t make contact his cousin who live in London. I must say I was amazed about how much beer the Englishman drink each day, inclusive the women. I remained with a lot of pleasant remembrances. For instance, I was to theatre where I stand up because otherwise, I would be supposed to pay 30 dollars. The tourist attractions which I visited were: The London Dungeon, Tower Bridge Exhibition, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace. I bought almost one hundred of clothes, t-shirts, trousers, blouses because it were much cheaper than in Roumania. It was a splendid place, I was astonished of that atmosphere and by the people and I advise all of you to visit London and England if you have this chance.

  3. Dear Moldalin,
did the English accept your dollars? :-)
Thanks for the invitation to visit, anyway.
Is your friend's cousin still living there?

    ReplyDelete
  4. You're right, I paid with pounds.
Yes, my friend's cousin is still living in England, but he moved into an other city.

  5. Moldalin you have a colourful imagination :) i enjoyed your story. I like the part where your had money for t-shirts, blouses, trousers but no money to sit down in a theatre or to sleep somewhere for a night.

  6. New York, New York!

I travelled a lot in foreign countrys but the one that left a mark on me was USA, beautiful New York to be more exact. It was mindblowing, the buildings are enormous, I felt like a Lilliputian in Gulliver's world. The first impression was of total chaos, everybody was in constant motion, no one seemed to help you. In New York taxi's are like oxygen, there everywere and you don't even have to call them, you just raise your hand and whistle for them, for me, that was incredible. We stayed at a cheap but lovely hotel, Roosevelt Hotel. We visited the symbol of this great city The Liberty Statue, in our way to Museum of Natural History we also stopped to look at the liberty bell, after that we were hungry so we went to a TGI Friday. I asked a waitress what does TGI stands for and she replied very amused Thank God It's Friday which i thought was hilarious. I ordered friday's lunch for 5.99 dollars which consists of soup, bread, salad, a big glass of orange drink and a complementary pie (the pie was unbelievable). I bought a gorgeous souvenir, a glass in a carved seashell, on the glass was painted the american flag for only 25 cents. I apologize for making this too long but I have a lot of good memories and i find it difficult to sum them just in a few sentences.

  7. In 2008, I was in a trip across West Europe. I saw Hungary, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Slovenia. Italy was the most beautiful country in my opinion. I visited Venice. The buildings in Venice are very old and attractive, and tourists come from all over the world to see them and the canals.I was in St.Mark`s Basilica, on Rialto Bridge and Doge`s Palace. Another city I visited in Italy was Milan wich is a huge city. Milan is renowned as one of the world capitals of design and fashion. Some of the finest Italian fashion houses, such as Gucci, Prada, Versace, Missoni, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Valentino, Trussardi and Moschino, to name a few, are headquartered in the city. I visited the Dom. I also was in St.Margherita wich is a comune in the province of Genova. It has a port, used for both touristic and fishing activities. Part of comune territory is included in the Regional Natural Park of Portofino.
Italy is a beautiful country and if you didn`t visited yet, you should do it in the future.

  11. I have never been to a foreign country but one of my friends told me once about Egypt.
He had visited Egypt in 2003. I am fascinated by this country and I asked my friend to tell me what he had seen there. He was impressed of course by the pyramids and by the Sphynx but he told me about their way of dressing and eating. Women are not allowed to show their face in public. It's a rule of their religion and of their culture. My friend told me that they eat most of the time chicken and rice. He tasted all kind of food there but he was impressed by their cakes. He brought a souvenir for me, a little leather camel.

  14. Hello everybody!

I will make a brief description of my holiday in Bulgaria.

This summer I visited the beautiful region of the country situated on the Black Sea shore called Golden Sands. I traveled there by an intercity bus and the travel lasted 12 hours. The first thing that I made after the arrival was to take a bath into the Black Sea around 9:00 pm. The water was perfect so I couldn’t resist and I stayed into the water around one hour.
It was spectacular the great scene, the gold beach, the great color of the water and the fabulous view of Varna after the sunset. When I saw the multitude of the lights I thought that Varna could be called “the city of the lights”.
Some things that surprised and liked me were the Bulgarian hospitality and their great food. One of the specialties that I liked was the Bulgarian salad and I enjoyed also the cold beer.
I came back with the same intercity bus and the journey was great. After this holiday I regret only one thing: the fact that it lasted only one week.

  15. It was the summer of 2003. I was in Italy, it was a school trip. I was very happy because all of my good friends were there.
Our first stop was in Hungary, then in Austria. The mountains over there are beautiful, it was summer, but there peak where still snowy. After two days with the bus we arrived to Rome, my favorite. I love the monuments, the museums, the Spanish Steps.
The second day we went to Venice. Those houses, the water instead of streets, the St. Mark's Square, they were fascinating, a uniqe experience. We went with a boat to two islands, where we visited churches and a glass factory.
Third day we went to Vatican. We were inside the church but we didn't see the pope.
The fourth day was in Verona. It was raining, but it didn't matter. We visited the house were Juliet lived, and I saw the balcony were Romeo confessed her his love.
The fifth day we spent in Firenze. It's a beautiful city. The people are very friendly.

  17. The last country I have visited was Bulgaria. I went with my family in a short trip to the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia to visit my sister. I didn't like the town because it is more dirty than Targu Mures and there is a lot of noise that bothered me. The shops are nice and clean, but the people don't speak english very well so this was a bit of a problem. I didn't buy anything because my sister gave me some presents. I like the center, it is very big and the buildings are all very impressive. My visit was very nice, most of all because I spent time with my sister.

  19. So far I haven't been in another country, therefore,I will imagine a trip to India.I know its traditions, culture and the different way of life.I noticed that for the wedding, women dress in a red "sari" and wear a lot of jewels. That point between the brows symbolizes their third eye,the eye of the soul.Because the traditions are different, foods too are different. The best known food is pudding with rice and coconut milk.So that's all about my imaginative trip, and I hope in the future I can visit India.

  23. Because I have never been in a foreign country I imagined that I have been to France and visited Paris, one of the greatest coutry that anyone would like to go at least once in his life. In my journey I visited the "Eifel tower", of course, and the "Notre-Dame Cathedral",but that was in the second day of the journey because in the first day I ate at a great restaurant so called "Vasco da Gama" when I arrived in Paris, and I spent my night at a three stars hotel named "Saint Thomas d'Acquin". In the day three, I have visited the streets, the parks, there was one that I loved, it is called "Parc du Champ de Mars", I have talked to france people and in the day four I have visited the "Elisabeth Georgette castel", and in the evening I started the trip back to Romania. It was the best 4 days I have ever had.

  25. I had never visited a foreign country so I will describe an idyllic trip for me.I always wanted to visit Austria`s capital,Wien.I saw a lot of interesting things about Wien on Tv and I consider Wien as the "Cultural Capital" of Europe. There are so many interesting things that I don`t know where to start.I heard a lot of compliments about the Opera of Wien and about the Schonbrunn Palace, but there is a lot more to see, like Mozart`s house,Hofburg imperial Palace, the Danube tower, the Rathaus or the St.Stefan cathedral and so on.But the most attractive turistic points are in the Alps, where the turists go skiing.

  27. Two years ago, I was in the Netherlands together with my friends. It is a nice place with many flowers.
There are many windmills, because there the weather is very blowy, and they can use that energy produced by windmills. We saw many big farms, where already use a developed tehnology, for example the cow goes alone to be milked by a robot.
The eating behaviours is composed with many milk products. There the barbecue is a traditionaly food, it’s a kind a meal maked in special mode.
It was very interesting for me, that they don’t eat soup, and they drunk more orange juice.
There are some places where the rabbits can walk in the front of the house.
If the distance wasn’t long, then we used the bikes. It was healthly and nice because there are more bicycleroads too.
We was also in Amsterdam, where was amazing.
Before we came home, we bought some souvenirs.
It was a nice trip for me.

I have traveled to many countries, but I haven't seen before such beauties. I was to Paris, to the Loire valley and after that we went to the French Grand canyon, which is also beautiful. We arrived to the seaside, where we visited the yacht exhibition in Cannes.
I will always keep this trip in my mind.

I can say that I have some beautiful memories about that trip, not for the places I visited (almost all the places he listed biro90 on his post), but how I felt being surrounded by so many unknow people, being so far from home. I had a feeling that I can't describe in words. It was really a great trip.
What most impressed me was the Schönbrunn Palace. It has beautiful parks and gardens which is filled with lush planting, interesting sculptures and numerous fountains.

Spain is a member state of the European Union located in southwestern Europe on the Iberian Peninsula and has many great places to visit, for example the Picasso Museum located in Barcelona ;the spectacular views at Ronda and I would visit Tenerife to see the strange volcanic rock formations and Mount Teide, an active volcano etc. There are many other things I would like to do and I hope that soon I will have the chance to fulfill my dream and then I will tell you everything I did.

  41. Last summer, me and some very good friends of mine decided to go on a trip. We choose a nice little Greek sea-port town, Neos Marmaras. It was so fantastic, and this whole place fascinates us. The beach, the crystal clean water, that atmosphere, the girls in nice swimsuits, the shining sun and the warm summer days were just perfect.
It was the ideal place for a wonderful vacation. There was no time to stay in our rooms and watch tv, and do nothing. Everything was so adventurous, traveling with the little boat, meeting new people, find nice souvenirs, spend the nights in clubs, and so on.
In Neos Marmaras you can find hundreds of room rentals in the area and plenty of supermarkets, folk art stores, taverns, restaurants, cafeterias, bars, clubs, car-rental companies, buses, taxis, hair salons, pharmacies, medical labs, and dental offices.
If you want an unforgettable vacation you should visit Neos Marmaras in Greece, trust me itt’s a dream place, and it worth all the money.

  45. The only foreign country I’ve visited is Hungary. Since I was a kid, I’ve traveled a lot, but only in my country. My biggest wish has been to have the chance to visit many foreign countries. I visited Budapest, the capital of Hungary; it is the biggest city of the country. It is a very beautiful city where you can see a lot of interesting things and places. The city is divided in two by the Danube, so one can visit Buda and Pest; it’s like visiting two cities at once. I visited the Hungarian National Museum where I saw a lot of interesting things; later, I relaxed on The Margit Isle where I swam a lot. I also took a tour on the river on a big boat and that was the greatest part of all. I did many other things, but the above mentioned ones were the greatest. My next biggest dream is to visit Canada.

Then we took advantage of the good weather and went for a walk in the center of the town. It was beautiful and I had the impression that I traveled 200 years into the past because the buildings have an old architecture and there were no cars around. We ate some german food which was good, although we had no bread. Also we went to the zoo and saw a dolphins and seal show which was funny, the seal knew a lot of tricks and let the impression that he was laughing at the dolphins. Basically, I saw a comedy show. It was a nice trip and my last impression was that, german people are not as cold as we think they are. They were quite friendly.

I never got the chance to visit a foreign country, so I will tell you wich one I wish to visit one day, Japan, it's the most awsome country in the whole world, there's many places to go,to see the generous spirit of the people, their kindness and positive attitude. I belive that the japanese people have accomplished something that no other country managed to do, they accepted and reinvented the modern world and technology, but at the same time succeeded to remain faithful to the traditons of their ansesters. Fascinating and mysterious, I'm sure that Japan would be at the top of my traveling list.

But if in some day it will i would certainly want to visit the US especially the state of Florida and it's famous city Miami.
There's an interesting contrast of cultures there from all over the world especially latin one wich i find it interesting and somewhat romantic.
Plus the the most turistic spot in Miami is it's miles long beach and it's beautiful ladies, but most of all the exciting nightlife.
Many movie stars bought houses there because of it's tropical location wich i find very relaxing and soothing.
If i ever get the chance that's the place i would certainly visit first.

I started from Athens and I saw Akropolis, the famous ancient monument temple.Athens is a very beautiful city and the people are very kind. Then I went to Crete which is a wonderful island. It lies in the southern part of Greece. You can find beautiful clean beaches all over the island. And the nightlife is also rich in some parts of the island.People are very very hospitable and the food is also great.Finaly I arrived in Thessaloniki that I consider the most beautiful city of Greece. My conclusion of this vacation is that Greece has a lot of wonderful places that deserve to visit and the Greeks know very well how to treat tourists.

  57. I visited Ireland last year. at first we were like a tourist, but after about one months I found work at a cleaning company as a driver. and stayed almost a year in the capital Dublin. Irish people are some calm, and if you were going to visit her black tea served with milk or their traditional Guinness beer is not too palatable. was a very nice city especially the old part of town that was always full of tourists.I was not like the climate, if not raining in the morning .. rainy evening. Although it is always made cleaning the streets, many people throw trash on the streets, which was a bad thing. Ireland is a country worth visiting.

  58. In 2007 I was in Spain with my mother to visit my aunt and I spent 3 weeks ... is a very beautiful country .. I was in Madrid that is a very neat town .. a highway that allows you to cross town from one end to another without staying at one million of lights .. What I like in Madrid are the buildings in the center, broad streets, shops, parks. in Spain for the first time we ate the tortilla patata (potato omelette) one of the traditional foods. On this hollydai i was impressed by the warm witch you get from the people of Spain like you have lived there.

  59. Always I considered Germany one of the gates to Occident. After 1990, this gate opened for me too and I traveled there many times for different reasons and interests. As much as the German people might appear grumpy, busy or preoccupied, I have to admit that they are helpful and nice once they know you. I observed this also when I have been lost a couple of times and have had to ask for directions. Although most of the Germans are not so much fans of fashion, I noticed that some German women managed to look sophisticated and stylish even they were overweight. Also the men looked elegant and handsome in their formal suits and those long black winter coats.
I had the opportunity to eat some of the local specialties but I was not much impressed because most of them had a lot of meat and sausages but I liked their flans and jellies.

  63. In 2008 I visited Hungary with my boyfriend. This was first time I went out of border. I was amazed about that country, it seems to me to be a little part of Vest. We went there to buy a car VW for my friend, and on the way back I was driving almost the half distance. It was a hard nut to crack for me but I did it:)

  64. The only country I visited is Italy. I stayed there a year wity my family and I worked in constructions. I stated in Roma. The places wich I visited in Roma are the Coloseum, Vatican, the Olimpical Stadium and many others turists atractions. The Italians each a lot of spaghetti, pizza and sea fruits. The italians loves dogs and they walk them at least three times on a day on streets. Italy is a very developed country, the streets are very well made and also the highways. The transport sistem is very modern also. They have lots of fast trains, which are alwayes full in contradiction with the trains in Romania. In Roma there are 2 huge international airports, which are very used by turists.
