Earlier this day I was shopping and I heard on the radio some shocking news. The great actor Gheorghe Dinica passed away at noon. He has been very ill recently and he was 75 years old. In spite of his age and illness, the news of his death shocked me. I think Romania lost one of its greatest actors of his generation. Although I have never been his fan I feel sorry about his death. Some of the youngest actors say that Gheorghe Dinica was a good person, a real mentor to them, who made them laugh all the time when filming. Vladimir Gaitan also a great actor was Gheorghe Dinica's good friend. He said that Gheorghe Dinica seemed a tough person but he was really sensitive. The news strongly impressed me because we are never ready to loose the ones we love.
ReplyDeleteMonica, you should go to an earlier post, that with dislikes. There's a question for you!
ReplyDeleteTragedy in the soccer world, Robert Enke the famous goalkeeper from Germany has died. In the past he used to play for Borussia M'gladbach, Benfica, Barcelona, Fenerbahce and Tenerife. On the night of 10th of November, Robert Enke committed suicide by throwing himself in front of a train. Police said that they found a goodbye letter! God rest his Soul!
ReplyDeleteRecently, I read on the e-mail a news about the recent strike of the underground’s employers in Bucharest. The strike created huge problems persons which uses it daily. The journalists studied detailed the effect of the strike. They said it were affected also the companies of transport and couriers. A TNT general manager observed the traffic wasn’t more affected than before a holiday day like Christmas, Easter, New Year. But this mustn’t represent a consolation, considering the grave reasons which determined the employers not to work.
ReplyDeleteAdrian90, which was the tremendous tragedy which depressed him so much?
ReplyDeleteMonica m, what do you think about this: a real value or personality it's appreciated just posthumously? I think that, indeed, a real artists or phenomenon can be glorified just after his death. A big postmodern Romanian writer, Nichita Stanescu, said that also the poets and their poetries will be appreciated on their real value just posthumously.
ReplyDeleteMoldalin,
ReplyDeleteI guess it was the employees' strike, wasn't it? :-)
Indeed, I talked about the employees strike. I'm waiting for questions from the other colleagues too.
ReplyDeleteHello
ReplyDeleteTo answer moldalin's question the tragedy was losing his daughter 3 years before committing suicide.
Bye
In Bucharest a 7th grade girl was knocked over by a car on the pedestrian crossing in front of her school. This accident could be prevented if the city hall installed at the time the traffic lights. The driver was driving with high speed and he didn't had time to brake. The little girl is in Hospital, and like every time the state employees are blaming each other.
ReplyDeleteThis weekend I saw the presentation of the new model of Dacia constructor, called Duster. Then the news made me very happy because I saw this segment of the economy hurdling the financial crisis.
ReplyDeleteAnd another delight for me was when I found out the fact that the new model was registered at a rally championship.

ReplyDeleteLast week I saw in the sport news that the Unirea Urziceni soccer team couch resigned. This news was a shock in the soccer world because the team was going well and the results of the team were outstanding. So what caused the resignation? Some people said that mister Dan Petrescu left because he had a fight with the club owner but some people say that he left because he had a great offer with a great salary. In my opinion he left because at Unirea Urziceni he achieved almost impossible things and he wanted new challanges.
ReplyDeletePS: Happy new year!! :) Cheers!

Doja street, and at the municipium hospital.

ReplyDeleteAbout TITANIC. The British luxury steamship, the Titanic, was 269 meters long, making it the biggest ship of its time. Owing to its famously robust steel construction, the ship was considered unsinkable. On its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York, its fate was sealed. During the night of April 14 1912, about 153 km south of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, the Titanic collided with an enormous iceberg. The hull of the ship was so badly damaged that tons of water flooded into the compartments. The Titanic finally split apart down the middle and sank.As there were not enough lifeboats for everyone, only about 700 of the 1311 passengers and 897 crew members on board were saved.

ReplyDeleteRecently I saw at television a news about the earthquake from Haiti. A lot of building were affected and there is a huge disaster. The people are desperate, they have no houses, no food, cars and they lose all that they had. It's very hard for administartion to manage to cross over the situation and they asked international help. Some footbal managers decides to colect money and send them there, and not just money but also food and clothes. This is the most disaster for this region and it's very hard to define their situation, because it's more severe then we can imagine.
